Job Description

The Head of Finance is responsible for leading financial planning, risk management, and ensuring the integrity of financial records and reporting. This role is pivotal in supporting senior management with strategic and tactical insights related to budget management, cost-benefit analysis, and financial forecasting. The incumbent will independently oversee profit and loss activities, assess the company's financial position, and manage cash flows within specified periods. A key focus will be aligning financial strategy with Tharwah's broader goals, fostering innovation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Leadership, cross-departmental collaboration, and proficiency in modern financial technologies are essential for this role.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

·Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial records and documents with accounting standards and laws.


·Analyze financial data to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.


·Keep abreast of current accounting practices and financial regulations.


·Lead financial planning, including cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.


·Conduct analyses of cash flow reports, highlighting variances and insights.


·Manage timely financial period closing in the accounting system.


·Regularly reconcile cash flow-related accounts.


·Perform risk assessments and provide detailed financial risk reports.


·Participate in company-wide financial risk management strategies.


·Advise on strategic financial risks to executive management.


·Oversee budgeting and long-term financial planning processes.


·Secure banking facilities for company operations and future expansions.


·Align departmental financial forecasts with company objectives.


·Prepare and consolidate the company's profit and loss budget.


·Manage capital and operational expenditure budgets.


·Develop and oversee cash flow budgets.


·Facilitate the annual budget approval process with executive management.


·Lead financial feasibility studies for new initiatives.


·Generate comparative financial performance analysis reports.


·Draft performance evaluation reports with recommendations for improvement.


·Develop multi-year financial strategies supporting company growth.


·Contribute to growth and expansion strategies.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field 
  • Must have more than 10 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role.
  • Proven track record in Collecting, interpreting, and reviewing financial information.
  • Predicting future financial trends and providing actionable insights.
  • Reporting to and advising management and stakeholders on financial strategies and their impact on future business decisions.
  • Producing and interpreting financial reports related to budgets, accounts payable and receivable, and expenses.
  • Developing and overseeing long-term business plans and financial strategies.
  • Reviewing, monitoring, and managing budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Formulating strategies to minimize financial risk.
  • Analyzing market trends and competitors, with a focus on strategic implications.
  • Led and managed finance teams, with strong skills in mentorship and team development.
  • Proficiency in modern financial software and ERP systems.
  • Experience in strategic decision-making and participating in executive-level discussions.
  • Handling finance in a multi-national context (if applicable).
  • Leading financial change initiatives and demonstrating strong change management skills.
  • Ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations.
