Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HS&E Manager to join our business who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure the well-being of all concerned parties, compliance with regulations, and the protection of the environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and implementing Health, Safety and Environmental objectives as listed below;
- Policies and Objectives of projects involved,
- Procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local regulations,
- Strategy and processes,
- Key implementation strategies,
- Manuals and/or Health, Safety and Environmental Plans,
- Training and Orientation programs,
- Work Instructions,
- System Document Register,
- Nonconformance, Corrective, and Preventive Action processes,
- Auditing processes (involving assessment of all functions),
- Defining Roles and Responsibilities,
- Statistics reporting,
- Maintaning Deliverables Matrix,
- Lessons Learned capture process,
- Effective Emergency Preparedness and Response plans,
- Promotion of Health, Safety and Environmental culture and awareness throughout the organization,
- Setting up chair and maintain an operational Health, Safety and Environmental Network across all departments,
- Provides training to staff at all levels to ensure that all members of the workforce recognise their own contribution to improved environmental performance,
- Provides input as required to requests for information from suppliers/subcontractors,
- Provides input as required to technical deviation requests from suppliers/subcontractors,
- Participates in on-site assessment of prospective suppliers/subcontractors,
- Collaborates on the development of the Supplier/Subcontractor Qualification Process,
- Provides input as required to develop Equipment Criticality Ratings to determine inspection and testing requirements,
- Provides input to the development and continuous updating of the Approved Suppliers List,
- Liaises closely with DC Group to ensure the progressive assembly of documentation,
- Reviews Technical Requisitions/RFQ/POs,
- Providing direction to all health, safety and Environmental Personnel,
- Works in alignment with company and client in achieving "Target Zero" on project site,
- Flexible to mobilize different locations in KSA,
- Perform other duties as assigned by the superiors,
Qualifications:
- Minimum Level 6 education (degree in related discipline, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent)
- OSHA, IOSH or similar certifications,
- 12 years experience on international projects, at least 5 years working in a managerial HS&E roles,
- Knowledge and experience of construction projects in Middle East region,
- Strong planning, coordination, and risk management skills,
- Energy, drive and determination to build up high performance safety management,
- Passion for systematic, structured, and pro-active HS&E Management,
- Knowledge & experience of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001,
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety and environmental auditing techniques,
- Physically fit and able to spend a large proportion of the day on site,
- Ability to work with people of diverse disciplines, backgrounds and cultures,
- Ability to be flexible and to adapt to changing circumstances,
- Ability to meet deadlines, be a self-starter, and be a quick learner,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
