INFRASTRUCTURE BIM COORDINATOR

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes and workflows for infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to establish BIM standards, protocols, and execution plans.
• Manage the development and maintenance of BIM models for infrastructure components such as roads, bridges, utilities, and drainage systems.
• Oversee clash detection and resolution processes to ensure coordination among various disciplines.
• Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and reviews to address project conflicts and ensure model integrity.
• Provide technical support and training to project team members on BIM software and processes.
• Conduct quality checks on BIM models to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Assist in the implementation of BIM technologies and methodologies to improve project efficiency and productivity.
• Liaise with design teams, contractors, and clients to support BIM integration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay updated on emerging BIM trends, standards, and best practices in the infrastructure industry.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, or Bentley MicroStation.
• Experience coordinating BIM processes on infrastructure projects, preferably in transportation or civil engineering.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards and protocols, including COBie, IFC, and LOD (Level of Development).
• Knowledge of clash detection and resolution techniques using BIM coordination tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
• Certification in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is a plus.
• Understanding of construction processes and terminology is desirable.
