Job Description • Install and configure local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and network segments. • Provides technical assistance and second layer support to users of the Local Area Network, Wide Area Network, and the Intranet. • Monitor, analyze and manage network traffic and other conditions to achieve optimal performance and uptime by analyzing data to minimize network congestion. • Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues. • Manage security solutions, including firewall, and intrusion detection systems. • Works in close cooperation with Infrastructure and Technical Support team to facilitate the rollout of any new business location in accordance to defined standards. • Researches and recommends network hardware and software including telecommunications methods and protocols. • Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services. • Manage internet accessibility companywide and grant the users access to websites relevant to their functions accordingly. • Maintain VPN connectivity for all remote users to corporate data.
Skills
Minimum of three years of related work experience in a corporate IT environment • Strong understanding of computer network infrastructure. • Expert-level experience with securing enterprise networks and systems • Ability to create network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems. • Operational knowledge of network and routing protocols. • CCAN Certification is a must.
