Maintenance Supervisor

Job Purpose:

The Maintenance supervisor is responsible to ensure vehicles are maintained and repaired accordance the procedures set as per company policies. Doing day-to-day management of workshop staff using maintenance system to effectively manage a team and ensure achieving company KPIs and goals: - High quality repairs, - highest productivity levels, - cost control - Safe workplace. Major Duties & Responsibilities

Using company system and following company policies & procedures in the day-to-day management of workshop staff.

Responsibilities:

• Help in PDI and parts order,
• workshop load planning and distribution,
• increase utilization, efficiency and productivity, QC and on job training.
• Vehicle reception inspection or PDI of vehicles reporting to workshop and filling up of Inward - inspection / PDI forms
• Assist in planning, devising and designing methods to streamline process flow in the workshop in concurrence with the Project Head.
• Directing the bus to the relevant section /module
• Noting and advising Technicians /Service manager / maintenance manager in case of any maintenance lapses
• Receiving QC reports from QC and informing problem areas to Technicians / Supervisors and Maintenance manager for improvement.
• Monitor WIP reports and inform maintenance manager/module head on bottlenecks to production  Keeping track of warranty cases, repeated repairs, and product quality.
•  Manpower resources must not be depleted and used as per requirement.
• Maintain a supportive and pleasant ambiance in the workshop to ensure learning and productivity remains unhampered.
• Receives calls from the clients regarding any breakdown and must immediately deploy a service team to sort out the issue.
• Assigns allotment of work to the work force in hand and give the necessary details to controller for opening JC
• Visit and have constant meetings with school supervisors/Managers/Regional Head
• Continuously update the market technical developments to the technicians & using the available Repair Manual.
• Should mentor the subordinates to ensure there is constant knowledge transfer.
• Work must be done on a completely in process Quality Check based approach to ensure there is minimum faults or repeat services.
• Prepare Technical Report regarding Product problem (Bus, Component, Purchased parts) periodically.Willing to work in field and workshop
•  ensure that the Technician replace the old Parts with new one as per the Quality Standard work
• Collecting all replaced parts and deposit in the designated Scrap area and responsible for maintenance of housekeeping in his workplace.
• Conducting regular maintenance for Special Service Tools under his custody and housekeeping.
•  Ensure Safe working practices
• Handling SCM Technical enquiry & identifying items
• Closing job cards immediately after the buses are delivered.
•  Willing to work in field and workshop.
•  Support in parts stock order and replenishment.
•  Support process and service continuous improvement
