Summary


Marketing Director role is essential to the success of the function and vital to ensure that Topian (NEOM’s Food sector) develops robust sales for it’s products. By being focused on B2B marketing, the role aims to increase demand with supply chain partners and to create the needed processes to get involved with future wholesalers, retailers, and distributors. This position includes developing and implementing well thought out marketing strategies focus on selling, like product launches and loyalty programs, that increase success rate and brand perception.


This is an exciting role that is primarily responsible for establishing marketing strategies that will lead to building strong relationships with multiple partners and internal stakeholders. It will require a high level of competency in marketing, project management, and partner stewardship for our growing stable of strategic business partnerships and strategic alliances.

Position description and responsibilities


  • Managing the company’s relationship with suppliers, including negotiating contracts and managing inventory levels
  • Monitoring competition and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth
  • Identifying potential new markets for the company’s products or services via research, analysis, and meetings with potential clients
  • Act as the key liaison between product development and buyers.
  • Maintain customer relationships for future purchases.
  • Cultivate programs that ensure products sell in-store.
  • Work closely with Sales team to ensure best representation of Topian brands in retail and online
  • Accountable for website development and maintenance – and overall online presence
  • Developing marketing campaigns and promotional strategies based on product features and target markets
  • Developing advertising plans, including writing copy and selecting images for print ads or developing television commercials
  • Developing pricing strategies to increase sales of a product without sacrificing profit margins
  • Overseeing brand management efforts, including product development and design.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing the marketing strategies leading to the development of commercial and strategic relationships with organizations in accordance with Food sector’s overarching objective, goals, and strategies
  • Collaborate with the business team to uncover insights and strategies to develop and implement marketing and branding strategies to attract investments and partnerships development, internally and externally
  • Lead the development of our marketing plans working closely with clients, management, creative and content teams, and distribution partners, to create an effective and efficient marketing strategy focused on growing audiences that will lead to significant grow of the NEOM Food Company Bus
  • Spearhead the strategic and tactical execution of marketing campaigns, marketing events, including design of test/control segmentation, implementation of tests, tracking, results reporting, analysis, and recommendations
  • Provide informed insight, perspectives, and strategic support to sector partnership engagements
  • Support the negotiation of attractive partnership deals and ensuring mutually beneficial partnership terms that are in line with business objectives and strategy of Food sector
  • Maintaining and deepening relationships with existing partners
  • Influence and build strong government relationships at the national and international level
  • Build a clear, strong set of trusted and respected strategic alliances with which to collaborate and deliver

Knowledge and Experience


  • Passion for NEOM’s mission as an accelerator of human progress
  • Demonstrated advanced (7-10 years) knowledge and experience in senior commercial and marketing roles (ideally in the food industry) together with demonstrated skills and aptitude in communications, marketing and partnership account management
  • Highly collaborative and proven team leader with strong people management skills and ability to inspire and manage a team.
  • Proven ability and understanding of best practice project management.
  • A strategic thinker and a pragmatic executer with proven experience in developing and executing stewardship plans.
  • A thorough working knowledge of corporate social responsibility, with demonstrated understanding of current trends, research, principles and practices of social impact, corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
  • Strong understanding and proven ability to develop strategic communications and marketing plans across all platforms, traditional and digital.
  • A network developer and influencer, experienced in stakeholder management, communications and engagement in complex organisations.
  • Prior experience in a similar role and a strong track record of success in building communication and marketing campaigns aiming at attracting investments and developing strategic partnerships in the Food Industry
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders to find win-win solutions.
  • Highly goal oriented, assertive and a hands-on, problem solver.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven team-player with a minimum of 5 years’ experience contributing to multidisciplinary teams in a startup/ecosystem building environment
  • Fluent in English (fluency or working knowledge in Arabic is a plus)

Qualifications


  • Degree in relevant field (e.g. Business Management, Marketing, PR). Exposure to food production or food processing technology is a plus. Significant experience in developing marketing and communications strategies leading to the creation of corporate partnerships portfolios in the Food Industry and client relationships, including a demonstrated understanding of social impact and corporate social responsibility principles and practices.
  • Experience in a multicultural environment.
