AtkinsRéalishas an exciting full-time career opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years’ experience. Candidates having relevant project experience with transmission & distribution lines, substations, and power stations are preferred. The role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities
Working in collaboration with the Mechanical team to prepare the following deliverables / provide the following engineering services (non-exhaustive list):
Development of technical specifications.
Development of conceptual and detailed designs.
Design of interfaces with protection and control systems, civil works, structures, etc.
Preparation of bid documents and bid evaluations.
Design review of detail design performed by O.E.M. and third-party detail design including but not limited to the HVAC system, Valve cooling system of converter stations, Fire protection system, etc.
Ensure interdisciplinary coordination.
Take part in audits and technical assessments.
Construction supervision; development of installation procedures and method statements.
Commissioning supervision.
Witnessing factory testing.
Feasibility and techno-economic studies.
Design studies and calculations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, from a recognized institution.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Engineering, Design, and Construction of Extra High Voltage S/S, HVDC C/S, or related projects. Also, related to power systems, transmission & distribution lines, substations, and power station projects.
Exceptional academic and professional record.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities with a focus on achieving results.
Team player with great interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Client-focused, highly autonomous, and ability to work under pressure.
Eligibility for registration with a Professional Order of Engineers.
Availability for short trips to construction sites, factories, and client’s offices, in Canada, internationally, and overseas.
Fluency in English language, both spoken and written. Additional languages will be considered an asset.
