MEP BIM COORDINATOR

Key Responsibilities::

• Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) for projects, outlining BIM standards, processes, and workflows
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of BIM models, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards (such as LOD and COBie).
• Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination meetings to resolve clashes and conflicts in BIM models.
• Coordinate with design teams, consultants, and subcontractors to integrate their models into the federated BIM model.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
• Conduct regular reviews of BIM models to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project standards.
• Implement QA/QC procedures to identify and rectify errors or discrepancies in BIM models
• Provide training and technical support to project team members on BIM software tools and workflows.
• Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies, trends, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team.

  Identify potential risks and challenges related to BIM implementation and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing BIM practices.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proficiency in BIM software platforms such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or Bentley AECOsim.
• Strong understanding of BIM concepts, standards (e.g., ISO 19650), and workflows.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail for QA/QC procedures.
• Project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with construction processes and industry-specific terminology.
• Certification in BIM-related software or methodologies (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional).
• Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Knowledge of additional BIM-related tools and technologies (e.g., laser scanning, 4D/5D BIM).
