Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive occupational safety programs.Ensure programs comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations.Conduct safety training sessions for employees on various safety procedures and practices.Collaborate with department heads to identify and address specific training needs.Conduct regular risk assessments and workplace inspections to identify potential hazards.Provide recommendations for corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses.Prepare thorough reports and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.Stay informed about changes in occupational safety regulations and standards.Ensure the organization's compliance with relevant safety laws and regulations.Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency plans.Facilitate clear communication of safety policies and procedures to all employees.Create and distribute safety-related materials and resources.Work with the safety committee to address safety concerns and implement improvements.Act as a liaison between management and employees on safety matters.Knowledge & Having an international Safety Certificate (OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH)Note: this job description shall include but is not limited to the above duties. May temporarily perform other duties assigned to maintain services and operations.Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Health and Safety.1 – 3 years of work experience in a similar role.English language level: Intermediate.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, and Power Point).Has a Ministry of Labor profession practice certificate.International safety certificates (OSHA or NEBOSH or IOSH) are preferred.Knowledge of local and international occupational safety and health rules, as well as civil defence needs.Knowledge of occupational safety and health devices.Ability to write suggestions and periodic reports.Knowledge of inspection procedures and license requirements.Application Procedure:Please apply online and we will get in touch if the screening committee shortlists you for an interview.The University of Prince Mugrin is located in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
