The project:
This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.
Mace is currently providing programme management and looking for high-calibre experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.
We are looking for an experienced operations director who has experience in large mixed-use developments. This phase of the work is at the very start of construction, and we are looking for a candidate who can support mobilisation alongside project delivery. You’ll need to have:
- A degree qualification in a construction-related discipline or equivalent.
- Experience in heavy civil engineering, ideally bulk earthworks and services.
- Extensive years of experience in an appropriate field in a senior leadership role.
- Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
- Have led a team and supply chain as part of a large project/programme.
- Has been a leader within an overarching project/programme delivery team.
You’ll also have:
- Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the Construction sector.
- Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
- Experience in managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
