· Verifies methods of inspection, testing and instruments calibration.
· Ensures that received QA/QC records (drawing, submittals,…) are kept by his engineers in order and made readily accessible.
· Maintains communication with site engineers and the superintendent to ensure adequate process capability and information feedback.
· Conducts regular quality surveillance on site as required.
· Ensures quality ITP is implemented correctly.
· Coordinates and deals directly with the site team and the subcontractors to identify deficiencies.
· Ensures that works are executed and carried out as per drawings, project specifications and material submittals.
· Establishes liaison with the consultant’s representative on quality related matters, and makes available upon request, copies of documentations and performed tests.
· Rejects and issues non-conformance reports for works that do not comply with the contract documents.
· Ensures that all material and equipment installed on site or fabricated off-site conform with the contract documents and the material submittals.
· Monitors tests and examinations carried out by QC Inspectors, to ensure its conformity with the contract documents or QA/QC applicable practices.
· Assumes the logging of non-conforming works and the corrective action procedures and reports on such to the concerned QC Supervisor, QA/QC Manager.
· Ensures that all openings, related to his scope, above false ceilings are properly sealed and fire zoning is not infringed.
· Ensures that QA/QC copies of revised documents carry an appropriate revision number, date, status and that all obsolete documents are destroyed.
· Ensures that the As Built information is recorded daily on the QA/QC copy of drawings.
· Follows up the site team and the subcontractors to ensure lifting the valid points of the punch lists and the snags.
· Assumes the duties of the QAQC Supervisor during his absence.
