Quality and Followup Engineer

As a Quality Control and Follow-Up Engineer with 3 Years experience in construction projects, your role encompasses several key responsibilities to ensure that construction projects meet quality standards and specifications. Here's an outline of your typical duties and qualifications:

Responsibilities:

Implement quality control procedures to ensure that construction materials, workmanship, and final outputs meet regulatory standards, project specifications, and client requirements.

Conduct regular inspections of construction sites, including materials, equipment, and processes, to identify any deviations from standards and take corrective actions as necessary.

Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and any deviations from standards. Prepare reports documenting quality issues, non-conformances, and corrective actions taken.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to address quality concerns, implement corrective measures, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Conduct follow-up inspections and audits to verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure sustained compliance with quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Evaluate the quality of materials and equipment supplied by vendors and subcontractors. Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.

Previous experience in quality control and management roles within the construction industry is essential. Experience with construction inspection procedures, quality assurance processes, and relevant regulatory standards is highly desirable.

Proficiency in reading construction plans and specifications. Familiarity with testing methods and equipment used in construction quality control (e.g., concrete testing, soil testing, non-destructive testing).

Strong analytical skills to assess quality issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with project stakeholders, convey quality requirements, and provide clear instructions to construction personnel.
