Job Description

About the job Quality Assurance Manager
  • Responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Company's Management System in compliance with the Hill Corporate policies, International Standards, and Client requirements.
  • Implementation of the Quality System may require the development or modification of corporate procedures.
  • As per project needs, the development of a Project-specific Quality Plan as a roadmap of the Project Quality Requirements is recommended.
  • The Quality Assurance Manager monitors the establishment by the service provider of the quality assurance (QA) programs sufficient for the Project.
  • Monitors and audits the quality-related activities set forth in the Quality Plans to confirm that products or services provided are in accordance with the client's requirements.
  • Periodically conducts detailed audits to assess the level of compliance with the QA systems, procedures, and related quality activities. Regularly interact with the Project Director, Area Manager, and other staff members to assess on-site activities.
  • Identifies and reports to the Project Director and -per needs- to the Area Manager and the Area Quality Manager on quality issues or trends based on data from various sources.
  • Supports implementation of appropriate corrective action to quality issues.
  • Provides input to management on project performance metrics and process or procedural system improvements.
  • Requires the ability to communicate clearly, and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals.
  • Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:


  • A Bachelor or higher Degree in Engineering with 15 years of related work experience in the field of quality assurance and quality control, including 10 years of experience in quality management of Facilities Management projects.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of quality assurance/quality control management practices, processes, and current technology.
  • Requires proficiency in the use of computers and software packages related to the field.
  • Requires proven experience in directing and implementing quality management systems and standards specified by ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, and similar organizations.
  • Requires proven experience as an auditor using ISO 9000 standards.
  • Experience in verifying quality, project monitoring, and inspection of the implementation of procedures and policies.
  • Must be fluent in the English language.
