Job Description
This role main purpose is to develop and manage technology projects and their cost, time and scope. Responsible for collaborating with IT cross-functional teams, business partners, and stakeholders to develop, launch, and maintain products (software applications, processes, etc.). Additionally, they will lead the continuous enhancement and delivery of new product functionality by gathering, prioritizing, and documenting requirements.
Accountabilities
IT Applications Project Management:
- Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
- Monitor project progress continuously and create detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
- Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
- Lead the team in implementing systems, analysis, design, development, delivery, support and communication of the in-house or standard IT Application projects and whole process of creating RFP’s, proposals evaluation and vendor selection.
- Manage requirement traceability and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Choose the right methodology to manage the IT projects and adopt agile delivery approach where suitable.
Assigned Business Department and Product Management:
- Lead the consulting efforts with users/business analysts and other functional teams to gather and interpret their documented requirements for various IT Application projects.
- Provide business systems solutions by identifying and evaluating options, preparing functional specifications, producing project and feasibility and costing in order to ensure Nahdi’s understanding of the feasibility of the business systems solution decision.
- Verify business systems solutions by creating test plans and scripts; conducting deployment testing, and coordinating with users to get acceptance and manage process change with them to ensure the proper delivery of the system to the user.
- Train the key/power users in the assigned business departments on the usage of the retail applications to achieve the best utilization of the system and to meet the business needs.
- Provide enhancements to existing applications. Define systems requirements, priorities, and viable alternatives. Coordinates conversions and upgrades to vendor systems.
- Review solution design documents and conduct User Acceptance Test (UAT) sessions to satisfy the business requirements.
- Provide Applications Support and Ensure smooth operations of the retail systems through the daily checks and system reports and proper monitoring. Manage migrations, upgrades and patches to ensure systems stability and reliability.
- Ensure the adherence of new changes and enhancements to IT architecture and design best practices (e.g Microservices , HA ..etc). and following the best practices in product management such as Back Log prioritization , release management and building product roadmaps.
Information Services:
- Participate in the planning and testing of the Contingency and Disaster Recovery activities to maintain service levels and ensure the continuous operation of the information services.
Security & Backups:
- Work with Internal/ External auditors to ensure the quality, security and integrity of the application systems.
- Perform Risk Assessment for Application systems and escalate to Section Head with mitigation plan.

Job Requirement
Education
- BSc in IT (preferably in MIS, Systems Design)
Experience
- 5 years of Experience in Oracle Retail or a Tier 1 ERP System
- Working knowledge of best practices in information technology management.
- Experience in project management methodologies (PMI and Agile).
- ITIL and service management background.
Computer Skills
- Strong command and background of programming languages.
- Prior experience in at least one Oracle Retail module or a Tier 1 ERP system.
- Software documentation and system analysis
- Strong SQL / PLSQL knowledge
- Good knowledge of Integration methodologies and IT Solutions architecture best practices.
- MS Office Suite (Advanced)
