Job Description

The Sport & Entertainment Team (SCON) provides strategic advisory services such as Highest and Best Use Studies, Market and Financial Feasibility Studies, Concept Development and Master Planning Input, Operator Search & Selection Engagements and Operational Assessments.


What this job involves  


  • Conduct secondary and primary research.


  • Source and update secondary data and maintain/update internal databases.


  • Assist and complete sections in terms report writing, financial analysis, and proposal documents.


  • Understand Middle East & Africa market dynamics and the drivers of sport & entertainment sector


  • Keep abreast of key trends/developments in the global sport & entertainment sector.


  • Contribute to business development where possible and attend networking events.


  • Contribute and provide input in weekly reporting status of enquiries, leads, proposals and projects in progress.


  • Develop and implement recommendations, insights, storylines, and structures.


  • Prepare, supervise and co-ordinate the development of high-quality deliverables


  • Take accountability for ensuring that the highest quality deliverables are provided to JLL management and/or clients.


  • Liaise with peers and other JLL departments to coordinate inputs for reports.


  • Provide cross selling opportunities into local and international JLL teams.


  • Communicate with all stakeholders and colleagues to ensure the delivery of tasks are managed in an efficient and professional manner.


  • Be pro-active in raising issues to JLL management and when required address these accordingly.


  • Ensure highest quality standards in accordance with JLL standard.


  • Ensure that you build and maintain goodwill, confidentiality, and trust with prospective and existing clients.


  • Be always professional.


  • Prepare documents and presentations, as requested.


Interested? An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications


Desired experience and technical skills  


  • Relevant bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in leisure, sport, tourism, hospitality or entertainment or combination


  • Master's degree in business, finance, investment, or a related field (leisure, tourism, hospitality) preferred


  • The candidate should be passionate about the sector with 2-3 years of relevant experience.


  • Arabic speaker is preferred


  • Candidates with experience in real estate development, hospitality advisory, leisure and sport operation or hotel operations are preferred.


  • Candidates are expected to have functional knowledge of the regional and global sport & entertainment market.


  • Good verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills


  • Clear and logical thinker with well-developed report writing skills.


  • Able to sit in front of the computer for long hours at a time


  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work well with Excel and financial models.


  • Understanding of P&L, Financial Projections & Development.


  • Skilled to develop feasibility studies with complete understanding of how to develop ROI, IRR, NPV, Payback etc.


  • Skills to Analyse Monthly, Yearly P&Ls and convert it into Report.


  • Strong team player with the ability to build relationships.


  • Be able to write reports based on financial analysis outcomes.


  • Must be able to understand and review Operator Management Agreements.


  • Exceptional customer service with a client focus


  • Flexible to travel to meet clients as required.
