We are creating a new centre for the region’s media and creative industries – by establishing the world’s first physically and technologically integrated hub focused on Screen Production, Gaming, and Digital Publishing.


We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager for the NEOM Media Holding Company to lead the Business Development & Partnerships functions.


Summary of Responsibilities:


  • Successfully contribute to and support the broader NEOM proposition by taking ownership of driving NEOM Media Holding Company’s growth and meeting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Manage all business development and strategic partnership activities for the NEOM Media Holding Company and subsidiaries (Screen Production, Gaming, Industry Learning)
  • Act as a Strategic Advisor to the CEO and support all relevant activities including JVs, agreements, deals, and business development opportunities, among others
  • Manage the development of the Commercial function and its operating model as required

Key Accountabilities:


Strategy Mandate & Vision:


  • Act as a member of the executive management team, participate in the development and refinement of the NEOM Media Holding Company’s overall strategy and objectives to ensure it maximizes its short, medium, and long-term profitability
  • Build a deep understanding of the Business Units of the NEOM Media Holding Company and use it as basis to define the mandate and vision of the Commercial function
  • Develop and lead the Corporate Commercial Strategy, including developing all required KPIs to define success such as delivering revenue growth and attracting reputation in line with the NEOM Media Holding Company’s vision, mission, and corporate objectives
  • Ensure that the overall business strategy and objectives are translated into operational business plans and targets for the department and that the performance is monitored, measured, and reported

Operating Model:


  • Develop the operating model of the function, including defining the organisation structure, required skills and capabilities, processes, and governance, successfully recruiting and developing a high-performance market leading team
  • Build the Business Development & Partnerships team – responsible for identifying, hiring, and retaining talent that will fit in culturally within the organisation, in close coordination with the CSO
  • Identify and implement cutting edge CX/CRM tools and techniques and ensure adoption and effective deployment and use to achieve stated outcomes
  • Create and structure a professional B2B sales funnel for all the relevant segments (Film & TV, Digital Publishing, Gaming, Industry Learning, etc.) and define the key actions required to take clients through the funnel from lead to conversion
  • Foster a collaborative team environment to manage and continuously monitor existing partnerships, including definition of KAM (Key Account Managers), relationship management practices, performance tracking and performance management, etc.
  • Collaborate with the various internal stakeholders to ensure their business operations properly support the NEOM Media Holding Company’s commercial objectives

Market Intelligence:  


  • Develop and institutionalize strong market intelligence capabilities across all relevant media sectors (Film & TV, Gaming, Digital Publishing, Industry Learning, etc.) in collaboration with the Chief Marketing Officer
  • Develop and institutionalize clear market mapping and segmentation capabilities (Film & TV, Gaming, Digital Publishing, Industry Learning, etc.) in collaboration with the Chief Marketing Officer
  • Monitor and anticipate various customers segments’ needs to ensure they are met

Team Leadership


  • Provide overall direction for the effective achievement of departmental objectives through effective leadership and provide guidance to coach, motivate, and challenge the extended Business Development & Partnerships teams
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and synergize efforts across the NEOM Media Holding Company for the successful achievement of strategic objectives
  • Seek and establish ways to develop and retain talent across the NEOM Media Holding Company
  • Direct the development of the departmental structures ensuring resources are optimally utilised
  • Manage the resources and budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget

CEO Support


  • Act as Strategic Advisor to the CEO on all Business Development and Strategic Partnership matters
  • Support CEO in all relevant Business Development and Strategic Partnership activities across the sales funnel from lead generation (e.g., roadshows, pitches, etc.) all the way through commercial negotiation and contract signing
  • Contribute to development of relevant presentations and pitch documents for all relevant parties
  • Contribute to preparation of the NEOM Media Holding Company’s board papers and present where relevant to the board

Internal Stakeholder Engagement


  • Collaborate with the CSO, Strategy team, CMO, and Leadership teams across Business Units to ensure partnership objectives and decisions align with NEOM Media and business unit strategies
  • Coordinate with the Legal team to negotiate and sign agreements with strategic partners and customers
  • Oversee preparation of updates on strategic partnership development for the CEO and senior external stakeholders (e.g., board meetings)

Strategic Partnership Development


Partnership and Business Development Execution:


  • Operationalize and start populating a professional B2B sales funnel across all the relevant segments (Film & TV, Gaming, Digital Publishing, Industry Learning, etc.)
  • Maintain and expand network of professional contacts across the Media industry leadership, introducing the CEO to potential partners and industry leaders and managing high-level corporate relationships
  • Identify and engage potential strategic partners, supporting the CEO with network development, initial partner outreach, and partnership engagement processes all the way through to commercial negotiation and contract signing
  • Sign contracts with partners and customers that benefit core and enabling businesses and support NEOM’s mission, values, and objectives

Planning and Reporting:


  • Oversee the development and regular updates of the Partnerships strategy for NEOM Media and its business units, in close cooperation with the CEO and CSO
  • Collaborate with the various stakeholders
