The project: 


This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.


Mace is currently providing programme management and looking for high-calibre experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.

  • You will create and design effective implementations of PMO and project control frameworks and strategies on assigned commissions. 
  • You will support best-in-class service delivery and effective engagement with wider industry and professional bodies to promote Mace 
  • You will be developing your expertise in PMO and project controls, with a growing internal and external network (e.g. clients, contractors, consultancies and other stakeholders).
  • Leads integrated master schedule updates and presents monthly status at the client executive level.
  • Advises on complex requirements and communicates analysis and corrective measures effectively.
  • Manages planning/scheduling delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes.
  • Oversees planning/scheduling, EVM, and project control methodologies. Influences complex requirements and communicates analysis and corrective measures effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with client/s, project team and stakeholders.
  • Supports senior management in negotiations, contract development, due diligence and other business development.
  • Leads the planning team and provides leadership and direction through managers/teams.
  • Inspires and empowers individuals within their portfolio to deliver high-quality standards and outputs.
  • Undertakes tasks required to fulfil the requirements of the project/assignment.
  • Provides performance management, technical and career development and coaching.
  • Creates plans and analyses trends using numerical and statistical techniques.
  • Oversees interface management process and presents monthly status at the client executive level.
  • Oversees PMO process and procedure development, updates and rollout across the programme.
  • Oversees Mace and PMC planning teams' P6 user interface administration with client-server.
  • Conducts scheduled onboarding sessions with new PMC staff on a monthly basis.
  • Deliver internal training and development courses on a monthly basis.
  • Contributes to the regional Mace business with lessons learned and best practices.
  • Contributes to Mace's 'centre of excellence' and 'insights' with schedule benchmark data and process developments.

  • You will support the hub PMO and project controls director with resourcing and recruitment for the assigned commission.

You’ll need to have:


  • A degree (or equivalent) with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the construction, programme, project or commercial management disciplines.
  • Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
  • Expert knowledge of schedule management tools and software - Primavera P6 and Excel.
  • Experience with recognised international contracting/consultancy organisations.
  • Experience with PMO organisations. 
  • Mastery in setting up effective planning/schedule, management systems and procedures.
  • Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome.

You’ll also have:


  • Working towards chartership/registered member of a relevant institution accreditation from a recognised industry body (e.g., APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA).
  • Extensive experience in the successful planning of projects and programmes in the construction sector.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
  • Experience in managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
  • Other relevant qualifications specific to local requirements.
