Summary

Level at which a manager manages multiple teams and one adapts department plans and sets departmental priorities and allocates resources to align with business objectives and annual plan. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the sales strategy for Saudi Arabia.  It also drives all commercial pursuits in the country.


Job Responsibilities
  • Sales Support Process and Procedures


  • Develops a close relationship with other functions (Engineering, Product Management, DLS, etc.) to ensure that changes to the organization are recognized and implemented.
  • Ensures that all necessary Sales Support processes are efficiently implemented.
  • Business development and Sales Strategy


  • Responsible for generating new commercial opportunities in currently served and unserved markets.
  • Collaborates with senior executives to develop future growth plans for the organization.
  • Build, implement and own mid/ long-term planning cycle process within HMH.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders within HMH, including Product Management, Engineering, and the Sales Group among others, to develop go-to-market strategies for all HMH products and services.
  • Supports regional teams in the creation of business cases as needed.
  • Manages and reviews the progress of process and strategy (key initiatives, projects, etc.) implementation across the entire organization.
  • Establishes and maintains beneficial business relationships with senior leaders internal/external organizations.
  • Ensures HMH has an active industry presence within Saudi Arabia.
  • Sales Leadership:


  • Manages all existing accounts and opportunities in Saudi.
  • Responsible for building, managing and developing the sales team, in accordance with regional strategies and KPIs.
  • Owns the country’s Sales budget (total costs).
  • Sales Forecasting:


  • Provides input to develop the sales forecasts.
  • Business Planning:


  • Owns the country’s forecast and operating rhythm, aligning sales team opportunities with HMH capacity and capability (providing input for IBP, Business reviews, etc.)  
  • Communicates the performance and progress to senior leadership through periodic status reports and presentations.
  • Provides leadership to managers and professional staff
  • Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams
  • Develops departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities
  • Decisions are guided by resource availability and organizational objectives
  • Applies knowledge of key business drivers and the factors that maximize department performance
  • Identifies and solves complex, operational and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department
  • Guided by organization functional business plans, impacts the department results by supporting and funding of projects, products, services and/or technologies
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical or Business discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a sales / technical / commercial role or in Operations role
  • Proven experience in a Technical / Commercial Operations role, within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of both land and offshore drilling markets required.
  • Travel is required.
