Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, organised, self-starter to join our Global Training & Development Team. In this role, you will create innovative and pioneering technical training solutions, facilitates classes on a global level for entry level to executive personnel and prepare/ maintain training materials and documentation using the ADDIE model – including discovery/need analysis.
You will have the opportunity to mentor L1 and L2 (where applicable) and develop, implement, and deliver technical training programs that enhance individual learning and meet the needs of various functional or institutional productivity improvement efforts as well as create proposals and present new and modern ways for learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Develop recommendations and proposals for new technical programs, courses, solutions, etc. Including fully coherent business outcomes analysis aligned to and/or based on business Objectives and KPI’s.
  • Build and deliver proposed courses/solutions on or before target deadlines.
  • Deliver core Rackspace University courses.
  • Active in social networks and social media and shares awareness of emerging trends in learning and technology.
  • May speak at conferences.
  • Maintain and build skill sets necessary to perform technical aspects of broad position functions or specific technical positions.
  • Performs assessments to identify training needs for groups or individuals.
  • Develops an appropriate mix of formal and informal training activities.
  • Capable of building innovative and modern learning options/solutions (AR, VR, Podcasts, Videos, eLearning, gamification, etc.)
  • Coordinates and prepares instructional materials for training and development programs.
  • Maintains appropriate records of training activities and programs.
  • Coaches and supports learners through development of peer networks.
  • Communicates and builds team relationships.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY:


  • Private-Cloud; VMware, Cisco , F5
  • Other technical competencies such as; Python, Linux, Kubernetes, Openstack.
  • Ability to manage Global Programs.
  • Able to apply hybrid design principles and has knowledge of emerging learning trends and technologies.
  • Capable of handling challenges to content delivery and able to judge how best to ensure that flow of session is maintained.
  • Able to apply hybrid design principles and has knowledge of emerging learning trends and technologies.
  • Leads on projects that have impact within BU and able to execute against timelines.
  • Can apply coaching principle to their area of subject matter expertise.
  • Ability to integrate adult learning concepts into training programs.
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum development, design, and delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDCUATION/EXPERIENCE)


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required or equivalent work experience/certifications. Technical Degree (i.e. Computer Science, Information Systems) preferred.
  • Industry recognized certifications preferred.
  • Experience in subject and training as a technology practitioner and/or Talent/Learning Development professional leading presentations, public speaking, or classroom training for related technology and products or services.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Previous working experience from any of the Big Tech companies i.e Amazon, Apple, Google, Facebook or Microsoft an advantage.
  • Technical certifications and/or previous technical or programming experience and can communicate highly technical concepts to audiences at different stages.
  • Demonstrate a general understanding of various IT concepts (e.g. Compute, Storage, Networking, Database, Security, AI/ML, DevOps).
  • Possesses a strong stage presence and ability to manage a classroom of adult learners.
