Job description

1. Operational Management: - Oversee the day-to-day operation of the combined cycle power plant, including gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), and other auxiliary systems, ensuring they operate within design parameters.
- Ensure that power generation meets the demand specified in the PPA, continuously monitoring load requirements and adjusting output accordingly.
2. Supervision and Team Leadership: - Lead, mentor, and supervise the operations team during the shift, ensuring compliance with safety practices and operational procedures.

8. Documentation and Records Management: - Maintain accurate logs of plant operations, safety checks, and compliance documentation as required by company policies and regulatory standards.
- Ensure timely reporting of operational data to management and relevant stakeholders, including compliance with PPA reporting requirements.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical) or a related field.
Relevant certifications in power plant operation or management are an asset.
Experience: Around 8 years years of experience in power plant operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role; specific experience in combined cycle plants is preferred.
Siemens GT based CCGT experience is preferred.
Technical Knowledge:Strong understanding of combined cycle power generation processes, including a solid grasp of regulatory considerations and contractual obligations under a PPA.
Languages: Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
Physical and Other Requirements: - Ability to work in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, capable of managing emergency situations effectively.
