Least it should have hyperlinks enabled because every now and then people posts some useful links and one has to copy to check the sanity rather than just simply clicking on it.

For sure Rich Text Editor will be helpful in answering your question in more appropriate manner.
Like listing the points making focused part bold or italic and other stuffs such as heading as titling needed.
Apart advantages mentioned myself above, there are also other stuffs to consider as Mr.
Suleman Chikalia mentioned once editing options are implemented such as allowing to post links here will make bayt.com something system like classified portal.
I disagree with Mr.
Muhammad Arif as he said that to be least hyperlink should be supported here but consider people who love to destroy a wiki system which is build for knowledge sharing platform and to obtain something useful.
They will surely disturb bayt.com at least from minor perspective .
Finally If such system is being implemented then a strong algorithm is needed to monitor the links being posted by a user.
Also they have to track down if the same links is being posted on multiple questions and in timely manner and much more.
I am pretty sure these are the reasons why bayt.com has not applied them already.
And I hope for the software engineers if they do apply them they may have considered using powerful algorithms.

Rich text editors? probably not.
Some kind of markup language for formatting the text would be useful but giving everyone the ability to post links and images without any sort of reporting function will quickly turn these questions into classified ads.
