Are the names ( medical officer, medical doctor and general practitioner are synonymous or different)?

I have the same question medical officer and general practical As I understand GP is a senior (chronic) medical office in Sudan A medical doctor is a physician in internal medicine (senior registrar or specialist consultant) The medical officer is a house officer get full Registration of Sudan medical council

In Sudan the names medical officer is the same as medical doctor, which are doctor who did their houseman-ship and passed permanent registration exam, But GP is not commonly used.
