Teaching is and will be an easy job only to a quack...what analyst term as a survival teacher. They belong here as a way of marking time pending when their choice job arrives. Applying the techniques, strategies, methods to actually achieve your desired goals; in addition to presenting the lesson cum class management and control, then, you will comprehend that is not an easy job.

One must follow his/her passion to be successful. However, time comes when you have to be flexible for survival and buy the time to remain in game for "Right Opportunity". In that scenario your friend decision is right. The context with your friend can only be understood best by her.

Teaching provides great way to connect to young and aspiring people. It offers platform for one to understand the trends and mind set. Your friend should not repent the decision.

I think teaching is not only a passion but a calling. one has to have the passion to teach/educate/make a difference in society - in order to deal with unruly children on a daily basis. Over the years the calibre and quality of learners have degenerated. This is unfortunate but what can be done, except to instil good morals and behaviour along with the content teaching. I think one can do this by leading by example

Good Idea has been communicated to you , In fact ,  I would like to address it in different way. Teachers  are of two types : those who become teachers by chance and  those who opted it by choice .  That is why you get  good teachers who are by choice. By choice  we get devotion and dedication  for our profession. Teaching dexterity and expertise  shape the personality of the teacher, this way he/she occupies great professional reverence.

I'm guilty. I did that and somehow got attached to playing the teacher role. Some people are able to do things by the book while others do it from the heart.

No Jobs are easy. Every job role comes with a responsibility. Here you have the responsibility of getting the students educated and also show good results which depends on the pass percentage of the class.

You are not only doing the job of teaching from the books but also impart good education. You have to handle difficult kids ( students). You have to help and encourage weak kids. They learn whatever you teach and follow them in their lives. Being with the children, you eventually understand their minds which helps in understanding your own kids and attend to their needs.

Teaching is a great job : )
