<p>I just checked my job application status for2014. I applied for more than300 jobs which makes1 job/day.But no job offered, many times I was ranked under10-20 positions and even on1 position but yet still there was no response from any of the job applicants. </p> <p>It makes me think of the following:</p> <p> </p> <p>1. As expats no one wants us in the middle east. I have also seen that middle east companies are now restricting jobs only to the country accounts, means that if you are not a national of certain middle eastern country, it will not simply allow you to apply for it.</p> <p> </p> <p>2. We are not skilled enough and may be need years n years more. May be even some have more than20 years experience.</p> <p>3. The forum is not giving anything, but yet we all are posting, answering questions madly to achieve something which is nothing.</p> <p>4. Should we shift to some other job site?</p> <p> </p> <p>This is only my2014 statistics. Even when I was in middle east, it was always that there is no visa for Pakistani, Indian, Bangladeshi Muslims specially. </p>
Bayt is not a good job provider website because a few positions my ranking was1st, but I did not get any response from employer. What happened I did not know?
I am able to sympathize and even relate to my personal experience on some of the points you stated. I don't know how this job portal works.
I also used to get shortlisted within10 and sometimes1 or2 for most of the jobs I had applied. I am not a kind of person who applies for every other job randomly but I was very selective, applied the ones that matched my eligibility and convinced me from the job description. Yet no response.

1. Don't think about how Bayt.com works or any other job portal works. Think about how Almighty Allah works. He is the most merciful and knows everything. Keep working, keep trying and let him give you the right opportunity ant the right time.
2. I am a fresher who got wonderful job offers from India from top MNCs to kickstart my career. I left my internship and declined all job offers in search of a career in Middle East. After spending4 months of useless time in Gulf Job boards and forums, finally I have taken up an opportunity with Ernst & Young in my homeland. Four months of tensions, desperate job search, depression and so on taught me the biggest lesson of my career.

I would think Fida A.A being the only Bayt.com professional I know would be able to give a better outlook about this site and feasibility of finding a job. :)
What nationalities in demand then? I am Finnish citizen, over300 job applications and a bachelor in business administration. Nothing.
It is the nationality my friend. It happens for everyone in Bayt even for Arab nationalities. I was ranked in some jobs as no1 and my profile was not even checked. Employer can see nationality before checking the profile.
I am not losing hope..I will and always hoping that I can have a work by being independent and a hardworking..I have a good thoughts to share..thank you
