What's the best way to subtitle a documentary on Avid?

I'm almost done producing my first documentary. I've been using the title tool to add subtitles but it's such a lengthy process and so hectic. The way I have been doing it is: open title tool, write a subtitle, save title, add it to timeline, add saved title to timeline for second subtitle, edit title, and so on. Is this right?

You can do it that way or you can go to effects and try the generator SubCap effect. I use it all the time. Once you have configured the look for your captions, it becomes so much easier to use that the title tool.
