There are plenty of medicines which are not taken simultaneously mainly due to the effect one has over the other in absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion / elimination (ADME) . You can find example in answer of Mr. Nasir Hussain above. The interference of one of them on other may increase or decrease ADME and thus have bad effects on body. Colestipol reduces absorption of many drugs thus it is taken2 hours before or4 hours after plenty of other drugs.

There is long range of drug that should not be used along with other drug to avoid possible drug-drug interactions. A few of them are listed below:

 

 

1- Acid Reducers H2 Receptor Antagonists(drugs that prevent or relieve heartburn associated with acid indigestion and sour stomach)
