Hi!

First of all we have to know for what object you have to change the background?

If it is a Picture/bitmap graphic then you have to go through a few processes.

On the other hand if you want to make a new background for already trimmed object then you just have to draw an object of your desire and give it the colour you want as to be the background. Simple place this coloured object over your previous object and Press Shift+Page Down buttons altogether.

Now I'll talk about changing the background of a picture assuming that you don't know how to get rid of it's undesired parts (the background usually blue or gray). You are lucky if you have blue or green background as you will just have to install Chroma Removal Plugin and that will do it all for you.

Just install the plugin and then open Corel Draw.

Click over picture

Goto bitmap tools and plugins select Chroma (you may use any third party chroma removal tool)

Adjust the thickness and other requirements if needed.

click ok.

Now when you do not have green or blue background.

Select the picture and right click over it

Click Edit Bitmap

Corel Photopaint should launch

Select magic eraser and click over the colour you want to remove

Remember if the colour is a background and the picture is not already altered then whole background will be selected

Press delete (this works only when you have single colour background)

For multi colour backgrounds or for complex shapes you must inform me again as I have to go for sleep.

Sorry for getting to short for replying, still I hope that will solve the problem if any.
