PVC or PolyVinylChloride is a thermoplastic amorphous polymer and plastic which is used in sewerage pipes, shoe soles, electrical insulation, sheets, etc. Standard PVC is only used for cold water.

CPVC is Chlorinated PVC which is used as a pipe for circulating hot water through it. it can bear high temperatures like- *C, since normal PVC has softening temperature of *C so normal PVC can not be used.uPVC is Unplasticized PVC which is not flexible meaning it is rigid PVC. It is made by the same process as the PVC but plasticizers compounds are not added in it which are responsible for flexibility. It has smoother inner walls which makes the flow easier. It is used in sewer lines, electrical and telephone cables and in window frames.

PVC or Polyvinylchloride is a kind of addition polymers and has two types:

UPVC: "Unplasticized PVC" called also “rigid PVC” which does not contain any plasticizers used as Window Frames, Pipes, Plumbing and Fiting etc...

PPVC: "Plasticized PVC " produced by adding the PVC Resin to the primary plasticizer as DOP , DINP, DBP and the secondary  Plasticizer as “Chlorinated paraffin” to get him more flexible and used as Electricals Cables, Hoses, Flex Film, Sheets .

While CPVC IS “Chlorinated PVC “due to exceeding of chlorine content, it used in applications that has a higher heat resistance such asHot Water Pipe.

CPVC is chlorinated PVC and it can be used at 80-90 degree Centigrade for hot water supply line.Normal

PVC can not be used in hot water supply line. Regular PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a common, strong but lightweight plastic used in construction. It is made softer and more flexible by the addition of plasticizers. If no plasticizers are added, it is known as uPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride), rigid PVC,
