I disagree. A Billboard is a passive awareness-getting medium. Bloggers, especially influencers, are way more effective from a persuasion point-of-view.  Billboards still play a role in the general marketing mix though, but, depending on the product/brand being "sold", it's no longer the default tool for increasing brand awareness. This is especially true of the online landscape where readers can automatically "tune-out" by clicking onto the next page if your content fails to hook readers.
