Web designer's strongest assets are their design training and skills. It is fine to get inspiration from other souces, but your main source should always be your client, and your own creativity. Designers must also take great care not to venture too far "out of the box" as most clients will have preconceived ideas and unless your idea brings forward something effective and groundbreaking, veering too far from the norm can often result in resistance. It is also important to consider the connectivity of your target audience. If they live or work in areas with high-speed connections available to them you can include things like flash and dymanic HTML for special effects, but you must make sure that when there are audience members in areas with slower internet speeds (even dial-up) they will not have to wait too long for the site to load. Visual effects must be able to load quickly, or they are not worth anything to the end user.

Good one Luke, I agree with you, Sources may vary time to time and as per the nature of the project, I can give you bunch of websites if you are looking to design one and you can get inspire from there, but they would vary if you are to design a logo / branding for a company, one need to keep their eyes open and inspiration flows in from various sources and just like wild waters need dams to control them you need to set the boundries as per your current projects needs...Keep browsing, book mark blogs, sites, but DO NOT COPY, be original, you will make bunch of bad sites, bad branding but you will learn and can only become better than what you were when you started.

There are many places from where you can find web designers, like dribble is one of the best place where people upload their work. You can also hire them and communicate with them directly.

The other platforms are directly searching for the specific area, like web designer in Sharjha, Web Designer in Toronto Canada etc terms can be used to find the developers.

Make a list and sort them according to their experience and work portfolio.

Hope this will help you to sort list the good web designers.
