As an elementary school teacher, do you think that the advantages of social media in schools are a legitimate reason to allow mobiles in schools?

I am not a elementary teacher actually, but I want to say that it's too early for such age to learn through "social media". 

Certainly that times are changing constantly

Social media at this age have alot of disadvantage for them

I believe this is not an appropriate reason to legalize mobile usage.It is just used as a material to control the uneazy behaviour of a child.

Advantages of social Media is not a legitimate reason to allow mobiles phone in school. Mobile phone is one of the exception unnecessary  to educate students which totally  create disturbance and annoying to both teachers, students, to teach or grasp the lessons. Thus, its not possible that the department of education will allow it to be used in school hence it has no significance in the methodology of teaching. 

We know how important is the child's progress are the social media. However,to some extend social media must set a restriction or limitation thru using mobile phones  or any electronic gadgets for it will greatly affect their learning and the advantages of social media in schools will turn into disadvantages that can't be controlled. 

 

NO WAY ...I DO NOT THINK IT IS THE RIGHT DECISION TO ALLOW OUR STUDENTS TO HAVE THEIR MOBILES AT SCHOOLS AS I DON'T SEE ANY ADVANTAGES OF SOCIAL MEDIA IN SCHOOLS ... BUT WE HAVE OTHER ALTERNATIVES WHICH ENABLE US TO MAKE USE OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES AS THE EDUCATIONAL TABLETS
