the ceo is the chief excutive officer who is responsible for activities results and the company succeed

the president is  hiring the ceo and asks him about the company succeed

There is not such differences.These titles are used interchangeably. Some times President and CEO can be a same person. It all depends on the size of the organization. Still in general, The shareholders of the organization elect the board which is comprised of its board members. The person from the board who is dealing with the talks on behalf of company or writing articles is elected as President and the one who is the best in running the day to day affairs of the business is elected as Chief Executive Oficer.

as you know the President it is like owner and nobody can remove him or change, but the CEO  they have to agree all the board to leave him work for3 -4 years, as the company .
