Accounting as we all know is about recording transactions. Sometimes Finance department could take accounting under its arm too. Finance is about overall flow of finance through the company. It is not recording it is about forecasting, borrowing, paying, financing long term projects, and cost of capital management.

From this we can see Finance works at a managerial level, with lot of subjective values placed on each variable. It is of a broader concept and focus than accounting for what has happened in the past two months or years.
