MS office 2016 is good & have many other useful tools

As of now Word 2007 would be better off to use at the moment, due to it being old and more people being more familiar with its UI. 2016 is too new for more people to have a better opinion of it alongside with its new UI.

I'm not absolutely sure - it was a long time ago - but I think it was Word 6.0 (1993) that was the best.   Then it went downhill for over a decade, and yes I suspect you're right it was the 2007 one that made it usable again.  Too early to tell for 2016 I would guess: these things usually need to sink in for a while.

Remember that more features does not necessarily mean better: in fact history teaches us that it frequently means worse.
