If making a customer-focused product is going to increase your cost and in turn increase your selling price, would you still produce it?

Keep in mind that this is an extremely customer-focused product, which means you'll be serving the exact needs of the customer. Would you still make it even though there's a chance the customers might not buy it due to its higher price?

Yes if you tend towards a niche market it'll make sense, or if you can specialize in producing high value customer will recognize and be willing to pay for it.

THIS IS DEPENDING

IF YOU MEAN YOU WILL PRODUCE IN SPECIFIC SPECS FOR EACH CUSTOMER OF COURSE COST WILL BE HIGHER BUT THIS MEANS ALSO YOU ONLY PRODUCE ON DEMAND.

IF YOU TARGET SPECIFIC SEGMENT WITH SPECIFIC NEED YOUR PRICE SHOULD BE REASONABLE BUT AS YOU MEET THE NEEDS FOR THE SEGMENT THEY WOULD BUY YOUR PRODUCT EVEN EXPENSIVE OR NOT.

CONTINUE PRODUCING DEPEND ON PROFITABILITY AND BEST AVAILABLE ALTERNATIVE.

NoOnce you have identified and measured your key profit drivers, you should develop strategies to grow them, without increasing costs. Making your business more profitable involves looking at ways to increase sales revenue as well as decreasing your costs and benchmarking your business to see where you can save money.

You should also prioritise the strategies you've chosen to improve your profit so you can focus on the most important ones.

I believe retaining customers is definitely more important. If your current customers are happy with you and your work, they are more likely to spread good news about you, thus ending up with new customers as well. Focus on keeping strong and good relations with those you currently have and your business will increase naturally.
