A manager controls activities and actions often being an implementor themself of the action whereas a leader inspires, motivates and facilitates others actions providing guidelines, development and ultimately growth. I believe in the next few years a flatter leadership structure will evolve with posibly no CEO rather a larger team of cross-functionally knowledgeable cohorts leveraging each others skill and motivating team cooperation for the company to exceed expectation.

A Manager is the one who manages what is assigned to him and reaching his target.

A Leader is the one who creates the target and reached the goal.

In other words, A manager is the one who sets off the fire and maintaining the course and A Leader is the one who change and utters the course of plan.
