I have got windows7 machine with a shared folder in my domain , got several other client machines like xp, windows8, mac , vista and7 , my windows xp machines loses connectivity to the shares in my windows7 PC often , what might be the Problem ?

Make sure you can ping from the Windows XP PC to the Windows7 PC. When does the PCs losing connectivity? While a transfer or when idle? Do you have a password policy enforced in your environment? Make sure you have setup enough simultaneous user connections for the share as well.
Make sure there is connectivity and you have the right permissions.

your network pc are in domain client relation or it's only workgroup? and shared folder are shared through the operating system or from the server? give more details beacause lots of possiblity are there

Make sure the pink has to get the reply from windows 7 to XP machine, if its not happening check the connectivity like cable, ip and firewall.
