As a manager,What would you prefer to hire, degree holder but luck of skill and experience, or undergraduate but we'll skilled and experience?

If you have well experienced team members,  who don't mind to share one's experience,  than you are safe by hiring degree holder with lack of skills.  No way of getting exp and skills without doing actual work.  In other hand,  what are good skills and experience if not knowledge?  Either choice can't guarantee 100% success.
