Six Sigma is a movement by itself. It moves an organization or a government department to a higher level of perfection so that wastage can be reduced over a period of time. It has got various impact on the society at large in terms of saving the expenditure, reducing the impact on the environment and also judicious usage of resources like human being or any other natural or man made resources.

Any organization including a service provider could achieve this feat by delivering as required by the customer. It is a movement where we don't need to apply statistics to resolve the problem or satisfy the customer needs.  It is movement which could drive the people to work in an optimize way.

In order to drive this movement in Africa and Middle East, we need volunteers like me who are interested to work with government to implement these good practices in various departments and organizations. Volunteers should work with the government to create urgency in the state or country or organization to adopt this change management through continuous training in different cities. These trainings and even communication from the government will motivate the various group to seriously think about rollout of six sigma in big way. No doubt this methodology will become part and parcel of the daily life and people will apply simple lean principles at their work place to achieve the initial desired objectives of making the process leaner and reducing the wastage in the system or production or in the supply chain system.

As a next step after 6 to 9 months, when lean has created a good impact on the people, then the next movement will be next stage of Six sigma to drive projects where solution is not visible and it need data and some more statistical analysis to arrive at a conclusion to resolve the problem.

This is a great change management program and it will provide huge dividend to the society. Can you imagine if we have six sigma in place we will have "One hour without electricity in every 34 years " and its simply superb.
