I think experience makes the big difference. Educational qualification is important but its like learning theory about how to drive but won't give you practical driving experience. When you are driving yourself, the situation continues changes at every other moment. You must have to adopt with that situation so you can compete and move forward.
Both of them complete each other .
for example you can't work as an accountant without getting bachelor degree or diploma or any other related qualifications to make your understaning for the current job more effective and efficient.
Effective means that you are doing somthing by anyway without knowing the main rule to do it correctly and without taking the time or cost into consideration.
But Effective means that you should know the rules to do somthing by the right way to safe time and cost.
So the one who has both "Efficiency and Effectiveness" is the one who has the entry level to do it well.
The experience Can comes through of working life, although i'd better the experience that come with qualifications, which in turn enriches the practical experiences systematic
Goog qualification is an assurance that the person has a good potential to be very competent and can grow in his career quickly, But it can not be compared to the experience. What we acquire and learn from experience have much more added value to the person and to the company. Someone who has the combination of both qualification and experience, definately he is more solicited than an other with less qualification or less experience.

I dont agree fully with Experience super ceeding Qualification but in some what areas it does, these two factors are parallel to each other experience with a perfect qualification and knowedge is the key answere to this.
An educational qualification proves that you can "absorb" knowledge but only experience will tell whether you can actually put the "theory" into a practical application ie do a specific job!

Qualification provide guidance and vision but the experience leads not only guidance/vision but speedy functioning with rare flaws.
