As a graphic designer i used both but i prefer mac it has more programs and software design better than pc.Nowadays advertising and graphics companies ask you the first thing if you know how to work on mac.Mac. In my opinion, it runs the major design software platforms more quickly and smoother. Also, their monitors are known for their true color display.
very necessary because at first you look for a software or program compatibility towards os and its hardware installed wether its compatible or not because if you don't have knowledge operatings systems it gives a bunch of confusion in terms of trouble shooting..that's why it's very necessary specially in tools or plugins to be used in graphic design.
MAC or PC that doesn't matter, its the persons who creates. Graphic design/Video editing/Vfx is all about creativity and a Computer with MAC os will provide you software stability compared to PC's which runs on windows or other operating systems
I've been using Macs and PCs since the day i start graphics Designing. I never could decide to fully commit to one and dump the other. Your computer is a tool. You manipulate it. It doesn’t manipulate you. Whatever you use, you make sure that it works for you. If you like PCs and you work better on a PC, great! Let’s see what you can do with it. If you work better on a Mac have at it. Whatever you choose, make sure that it is a solid work horse computer that is stable and won’t hinder you from getting the job done.
Graphic Designer must know both platform. Actually tools are most important and he should can do work on both PC and Mac.
It will increase your grade if you have the knowledge of both operating systems.
