These are two different data service technologies.
GPRS is bit older than EDGE.
You will get the following data speeds in the services without any enhancement.
Both the data services are run on GSM networks.
GPRS40kbps EDGE200kbps

both are related with the paket data but gprs is old one and having low data rats as compared to edge.\
