Scope of the role:

The Data Engineer will be based at Gunvor’s office in Istanbul and reports to the BI Solution Architect. The Data Engineer is responsible for building, implementing, and supporting Microsoft BI solutions to meet business requirements.

Key responsibilities :

• Create and develop optimal data pipeline using ETL tools to integrate Data Warehouse and Master Data Management Projects 

  
  

• Develop complex SQL scripts to process and retrieve the data from source systems and integrate Azure Data Warehouse and Microsoft Profisee Master Data Management projects.

  
  

• Design and support tasks on Microsoft Profisee Master Data Management Modelling, Forms, Views, Data Quality Rules

  
  

• Supporting on bug fix and align with Business and Quality Assurance Teams

  
  

• Create and develop optimal data pipeline using ETL tools.

  
  

• Optimize the data delivery and data pipelines to process data.

  
  

• Work with stakeholders and assist with data-related needs.

  
  

• Assemble complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional business requirements.

  
  

Profile:

• Bachelors or Graduate degree in Computer Science or another quantitative field.

  
  

• Fluent in English

  
  

• +2 years Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake) data engineering experience

  
  

• +3 years Data Warehouse and Data Modelling experience, Design and Modelling Dimension and Fact Tables

  
  

• +3 years SQL Experience

  
  

• +3 years ETL/ELT Experience

  
  

• Experience in SQL and creating complex SQL stored procedures & views.

  
  

• Experience performing root cause analysis on data, answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

  
  

• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

  
  

• Strong analytical skills.

  
  

• Strong prioritization and time management skills with ability to work under pressure in dynamic environment.

  
  

• Ability to work with tight deadlines.
