Job Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

 

Within the assigned unit and delegated authority, the Programme Assistant (Implementation) will be responsible for the following duties: 

 

  1. Active participation in program activities, ensuring regular communication with supervisors and stakeholders throughout the evaluation period. 
  2. Collaboration with relevant partners and agencies for program implementation, including the supporting partners to organize training programs. 
  3. Implementation of outreach and sensitization activities to increase awareness and participation in program initiatives. 
  4. Involvement in WFP programme participant selection processes, conducting interviews and assessments to ensure suitable candidates for training programs. 
  5. Contribution to the identification and establishment of suitable training workplaces for program participants. 
  6. Efficient processing of payments for participants and trainers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 
  7. Actively providing valuable insights for program improvement. 
  8. Proactive resolution, follow-up, and reporting of issues related to program durations and operations. 
  9. Emergency response involvement, including implementation overview of the recovery programme, distribution of resources, and support for affected populations. 
  10. Participation in focus group discussions and ad-hoc activities, contributing to overall program evaluation efforts


Skills

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education: 

Completion of secondary school education essential and tertiary qualifications desirable. 

 

Experience: 

 At least five years of progressively responsible support experience including at least two years in field work. 

 

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience in programme implementation activities 

 

Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English, Excellent Communication skills in Arabic.
