Based in our Charlotte, NC office, the Accounts Payable Analyst role delivers high-level service in managing the supplier payables for our US agencies. The role is responsible for a variety of tasks both internal and external facing. This role will manage a large volume of request and requires the ability to exercise judgement, initiative, and independence.

Responsibilities:



Maintain and update all vendor records in accounting systems Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices and work with appropriate department to resolve discrepancies Process all incoming check requests in a timely and accurate manner Ensure that all invoices are coded correctly and that accurate GL codes are utilized Process staff per diem checks per policy and required deadlines Support check runs, ACH payments, and wires Accurately post all payables transactions to journals, ledger, and other required records Reconcile outstanding balances with vendor statements where available Manage the entry of new vendors into all accounting systems and processes ensuring compliance to 1099 documentation, Certificates of Insurance as well as all other required documents and/or contracts Handle and troubleshoot incoming calls from vendors regarding payments and other concerns Maintain outstanding service and relationships with vendors to ensure continued excellent service Resolve and recommend improvements to internal accounting processes, seeking continuous improvements Participate and contribute to the internal annual department planning process, providing insight into the direction (financials and department priorities) of the department Participate in creation and delivery of Finance training for new hires and existing employees May perform other clerical duties associated with accounting department work

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:



Minimum of 3 years’ experience processing accounts payables Advanced Skills in MS Office Programs including – Word and Excel Confidentiality of contractual and financial information are mandatory Advanced organizational and time management skills Workday Experience preferred but not required Ability to analyze problems and develop practical solutions Ability to manage time in a multi-tasking environment Ability to prioritize based on changing need Reliable and punctual in attendance Willingness to learn new concepts and develop new skills through ongoing training/education
