Job Description
Collection of Safety Information
- Collect and organise an ensure quality of safety incident data received through the safety incident reporting systems, other safety systems, ASAS and AAI reports and external sources, coordination with concerned BUs under the sector
Management of Reporting Systems
- Monitor, review, update and ensure the smooth functioning of the safety incident reporting systems.
- Develop plans to improve the functionality and error-free operation of the reporting systems.
- Execute and implement changes to the reporting systems as and when considered appropriate to enhance the functionality of the reporting systems.
- Ensure seamless and error-free integration of external safety incident reporting systems with the GCAA incident reporting systems.
Safety Analysis
- Provide safety data/information from the reporting systems to the specialists of the section for conducting safety data studies and reports publication.
- Apply the latest data mining methods to compile safety data/information for the safety data analytical activities of the section.
- Recommend the latest analytical software for conducting efficient and accurate safety data analysis
- Participate in safety programs as and when required to create awareness across operations related to safety data.
- Provide management and business units with safety data and research findings and safety analysis after the approval of the supervisor and ensure timely and effective actions
Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures
- Participate in the review of processes and procedures of the Strategic and Safety Performance Section and assist in the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of Safety data analysis activities.
- Make recommendations to improve the processes and procedures thereby enhancing the efficiency and output of the section
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the ASAS safety data systems
- Identify new methodologies, software, and upgrades that would improve the functionality and efficiency of the database systems.
Reporting
- Ensure that all functional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet GCAA requirements and quality standards.
Health, Safety and Environment within GCAA
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services, and a responsible environmental attitude as per IMS available standards
Other Tasks/ Accountability
- Perform additional tasks relevant to the role/area of expertise as requested by the management to be able to achieve the objectives/commitments.
