Assistant Manager - Group Taxation

A diversified private family group (real estate development, contracting, facilities management, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing etc) with a rapidly increasing real estate portfolio is undertaking to strengthen its taxation function by seeking candidates into its expanding finance division. Candidates who are seeking to gain valuable hands on “transformation” experience by working directly with the CFO, in a fast paced, high growth company with a start-up culture, may apply.

Job purpose:

Provides options for making the group tax efficient in accordance with the UAE FTA and as per the constitutional documents of the constituent entities of the group Manages the tax function and organizes the entities for registration as a group for UAE tax purposes Works closely with the entire finance team and other OpCo's across the group to ensure timely compliance with UAE's tax laws

Key accountabilities

• Provides options for making the group tax efficient in accordance with the UAE FTA and as per the constitutional documents of the constituent entities of the group
• Manage the tax audit conducted by UAE FTA and ensure its smooth conclusion
• Ensure timely compliance with all the UAE FTA regulations across the group. These include VAT, CT, ESR, TP
• Work closely with the Accounting and Control team to prepare proper chart of account for the purposes of tax accounting and reporting
• Check the previously filed returns and ensure that they were prepared in compliance with the UAE FTA regulations
• Manage tax advisors for the specialist advice that might be required

Qualifications:

• ACA/ACCA/CPA from a recognized professional institution
• LLM from a recognized institution
• Certification from UAE FT

Experience:

• UAE Corporate tax: Qualified tax professional with 5-7 years experience in a Big 4 or in similar role in a large conglomerate/PE/SWF
• Extremely well versed with UAE VAT, CT, ESR and Transfer Pricing regulations
• Proficiency with an ERP is desired but not mandatory
