Job Description:
The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a faculty position in the Department of Electrical and Communication Engineering. Qualified candidates at all academic ranks will be considered, with appointment level commensurate with experience, research record, and academic achievements. The successful candidate is expected to: Demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Establish and sustain an active, externally and/or internally funded research program in their area of expertise. Publish research findings in high-quality refereed journals and present at reputable conferences. Contribute to curriculum development, program accreditation, and continuous improvement activities. Engage actively in departmental, college, and university service and help promote the growth and visibility of UAEU.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Extensive experience as a faculty in closely related fields is accepted. A record of scholarly research with publications in recognized international journals. Demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring students. Excellent communication skills in English, which is the language of instruction at UAEU.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior university-level teaching experience. Prior industrial experience or startup in a related technological field. A record of successful research grant acquisition or evidence of potential to secure research funding. Expertise in one or more of the following areas (but not limited to): Wireless communications and networks Signal processing Electromagnetics and antennas Embedded systems and IoT Power and energy systems Machine learning applications in electrical engineering Electronic engineering Computer engineering
