InterContinental Dubai Marina is a Five Star luxury hotel in the heart of Dubai Marina with 328 rooms and residence suites, flexible event space and restaurants & bars. With over 30 languages and countries represented by the staff, the hotel weaves together an international five-star presence.

Your role will be included but not limited to: 

• Execute installation, repair, and maintenance of wooden structures, furniture, fixtures, and fittings throughout the hotel premises, including guest rooms, public areas, and facilities.
• Craft and install bespoke wooden elements according to design specifications, ensuring precision, durability, and aesthetic appeal.
• Apply finishes, such as varnish, paint, or stain, to wooden surfaces to enhance their appearance and protect them from damage.
• Conduct routine inspections of wooden structures and furnishings to identify and address any issues promptly, ensuring the safety and comfort of guests and staff.
• Coordinate with other departments to support renovation projects, room upgrades, and maintenance initiatives.
• Manage inventory of woodworking materials, tools, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage to support ongoing operations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating tools and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and implementing best practices to minimize hazards.
• Uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality in all woodworking tasks, striving to exceed guest expectations and maintain the hotel's reputation for excellence.
• Returns notification of job completed to his seniors, time taken, materials used to complete the assigned job
• To ensure all guest rooms PPM is conducted on quarterly basis

Ideally, you'll have some or all the following qualifications and experience we're looking for:

• Preferably candidates with pre-opening hotel experience.
• Minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience in similar role
• Knowledge of fixing decorative ceramic tiles, wall plastering, concrete mixing and shuttering, fixing of road paving tiles, silicon and grouting work
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Must have the ability to multi Task
• Good communication skills
