Job Description
1 Financial Accounting and Reporting
1. Oversee the day-to-day financial accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts
payable, accounts receivable, HR & payroll, purchase order and financial statement
preparation.
2. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and maintain up-to-date
financial records.
3. Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and schedules in accordance with
accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
2 UAE Taxation Compliance
1. Maintain a thorough understanding of UAE taxation laws and regulations, including Value
Added Tax (VAT) regulations.
2. Ensure compliance with all tax-related obligations, including timely filing of VAT returns,
payment of taxes, and adherence to VAT-related deadlines.
3. Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate updates to the
management team.
4. Identify possible tax risks and propose solution for tax risks mitigations.
3 Communication with Federal Tax Authority (FTA)
1. Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with the FTA regarding tax-related
matters.
2. Coordinate and respond to any inquiries, requests, or audits from the FTA in a timely and
accurate manner.
3. Stay updated on FTA guidelines, announcements, and reporting requirements to ensure
compliance.
4 Tax Return Execution
1. Prepare and execute accurate and timely tax returns, ensuring adherence to FTA guidelines
and deadlines.
2. Conduct tax calculations, reconciliations, and analyses to ensure the accuracy of tax return
filings.
3. Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary data and documentation for tax return
preparation.
5 Financial Controls and Compliance:
1. Establish and enforce robust financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with
accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Conduct regular internal audits to identify any potential non-compliance issues and
implement corrective actions.
3. Liaise with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with audit
requirements.
6 Financial Analysis and Planning Support:
1. Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support budgeting, forecasting,
and strategic planning processes.
2. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for management and
stakeholders.
Requirements-Knowledge of UAE taxation laws and regulations, including VAT regulations
–Knowledge of tax returns and handling communication with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA)
– Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
– Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
– Knowledge of financial controls, internal audit, and risk management practices
– Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
– Knowledge of the UAEs business and regulatory environment
